Add a touch of retro elegance to your table with this pair of vintage glazed terracotta mazagrans, adorned with a delicately hand-painted floral design. Each piece is unique, a testament to the craftsmanship and timeless charm of vintage ceramics. One side is decorated with blue flowers, and the other with red. These cups are made of "cul-noir" earthenware, a porous red or ochre clay to which a tin-glazed glaze is applied, producing an opaque, waterproof white enamel. This earthenware was popular with the less affluent, while the more refined fine earthenware was intended for a wealthier clientele. However, given its utilitarian nature and a high breakage rate, this ceramic, originally much more common than fine earthenware, is now rarer. These cups, typical of the 60s/70s, are perfect for enjoying coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, while adding a touch of whimsy and color to your tableware. Dimensions: H 11.5 X D 6.7 cm.
