Small rectangular Berber rug, hand-knotted with repetitive patterns inspired by Berber jewellery, evoking a pendant or Amazigh amulet, symbolising protection and cultural identity. The ends are finished with wool fringes. The overall design exudes a simple and traditional style, typical of Moroccan Berber craftsmanship, and can be used as a decorative rug or a supplementary rug. This rug was hand-knotted by a Tunisian artisan in pure sheep wool in 2008. The knot count is 20/20, or 40,000 per m². The number of knots in a rug, a key indicator of its quality and fineness, varies from a few hundred to over a million per square metre. Generally, a high density indicates great precision and better durability. It is measured on the back by counting the knots over a given area. The rug comes with a certificate of authenticity and origin guarantee issued by the National Office of Handicrafts of Tunisia, certifying that the rug is of first choice, handwoven... Length: 151 cm.
