Art Deco buffet in walnut and marble

This sideboard, made in France in the early 20th century, combines two styles: the geometric aspect of Art Deco and the elegance of the Louis XVI style. It is a medium-sized and shallow piece of furniture, making it easy to place in any room. Made of solid wood, walnut on the entire front and sides. The top is made of thick marble (2 cm), Aleppo breccia in ochre, red, and grey colours. Its front corners are rounded to follow the shape of the furniture, with pointed edges. It features 2 sturdy drawers with beautiful gilded bronze handles. There are 2 large doors decorated with carved flower baskets and ribbons directly in the wood. Inside, there is a very sturdy shelf for storing your dishes or belongings. The legs are in the Louis XVI style, with turned feet. The piece is healthy, stable, and robust, suitable for daily use, and in very good condition. There are signs of age, a slight colour variation on the wood, and fine usage scratches on the top. Functional locks, with 2 keys provided. Dimensions: Shelf 114x33 cm, 33 cm height underneath and 38 cm height above. Useful interior dimensions of the drawers: 40 cm width, 7 cm height, 32 cm depth.
