1950s two-body buffet, oak veneer, tapered legs.

Superb two-body buffet from the 1950s in the Mado style with its splayed legs. The curved front of the central lower section gives it a lot of charm, a typical shape of the 1950s. The piece has been completely sanded to remove the original varnish, which had become very dark. The wood's colour is restored to its original state. A clear silk oil has been applied to the entire piece. We love its brass and Bakelite handles (some slightly worn), its splayed legs giving an impression of lightness, its large storage capacity, its rounded shapes in the centre, its light wood with its oak checkerboard marquetry, and its sense of depth with its glazed section and mirror.
