Set of two Art Déco nightstands by Jindřich Halabala, 1960s, Czechoslovakia

Pair of Art Déco nightstands designed by Jindřich Halabala and manufactured in 1960s Czechoslovakia. Equipped with clear glass shelf inside, and opaque beige glass top. It’s made with beautiful Karelian Birch veneer and finished with glossy shellac lacquer. The piece is in very good vintage condition, without major defects. There is a visible veneer patch on the left piece (see photo). Both nightstands show some lacquer wear on the top, more noticeable on the right unit.
