Antique brass fireplace bar - Decorated with lions and 18th-century motifs. Superb antique fireplace bar in cast brass, richly decorated in a neoclassical style / 18th century. It rests on two sculpted supports in the shape of stylised lions, with finely detailed paws. Each end is topped with an elegant gadrooned vase with a lid, bringing balance and presence to the whole. The central crossbar features an openwork decoration of scrolls and foliage, enhanced in its centre by a refined ornamental motif inspired by Louis XVI vocabulary: acanthus leaves, garlands, and a small sculpted bow. The whole is made of brass with a beautiful antique patina, offering a luminous gilding and authentic charm. A piece that is both elegant, decorative, and functional, ideal for dressing an antique fireplace, perfect for adding character to a hearth. For classic interiors, country houses, or character homes.
