Shell Butter Dish & Vintage Toast Rack

Superb decorative shell from the 1930s in Art Deco style, made by the famous silversmith Deschamps Frères. It bears the DFES hallmark, as well as a rooster's head (not visible on this model), and the 5G hallmark (somewhat faded). An elegant piece in the shape of a scallop shell, showcasing the refined craftsmanship typical of French silverware of the time. A versatile object that can serve as a key dish, sweet jar, decorative bowl, or collector's item. In good general condition for its age, with a patina and slight signs of wear that are normal for an antique piece, which adds to its charm. The glass bowl does not fit into the metal shell's cavities; it is slightly smaller. Ideal for lovers of Art Deco, vintage decor, or beautiful pieces of silverware. Dimensions: approximately 10cm. It comes with a vintage silver-plated toast holder engraved "Made in England, " a classic English piece from the 1930s to 1960s. Patina of time and small dark spots visible in the photos.
