Alain Richard sideboard circa 50

Exquisite 1950s teak sideboard by designer Alain Richard. Features four compartments, including a vertically opening bar section. Two shelves lined with felt, as is the drawer section. Subtle black metal handles and two front legs. The two rear legs are compass-style. Multiple marks on the top, which add to its character without being too pronounced. It could easily be varnished, but that's a matter of personal preference. Beautiful proportions, a very understated piece and a symbol of the pinnacle of post-war French design.
