Beautiful pair of large patinated cast iron vases, with a flared quadrangular shape, resting on a substantial molded base with four feet. The different faces feature a rich relief decoration inspired by Japanese art, depicting Asian figures in traditional costumes accompanied by various attributes. The whole is enhanced by geometric friezes, scrolls, and ornamental motifs. Each vase is equipped with two openwork side handles with scrolls. The upper part, widely flared, has a square opening highlighted by a decorative frieze. Beautiful old brown-green patina, with traces of oxidation and natural nuances enhancing the depth of the reliefs. Decorative work from the second half of the 19th century, in the Japonisme style. Height: 48 cm. Sold as a pair. A very decorative pair, interesting for its dimensions, the richness of its relief decoration, and its beautiful old patina.
