Large impressive academic drawing by renée belvaux (1903-1984), belgian artist from liège, dated and signed 1922. Beautiful large xl size, detailed study of the male body, the arm and a classic female head, note the finesse in which the muscles and details are depicted, this drawing was made with charcoal on paper, unframed. Renée made this drawing when she was 19 and she later became part of what is called the liège landscape school ('ecole liégeoise du paysage'). The majority of her works were oil paintings and were about the landscape in her living environment, liège. She also often painted portraits, sometimes watercolor but usually oil on canvas. The drawing will be carefully packaged and shipped rolled up.
