Gelderland armchair 2520 from the 1960s with an open metal frame, blue upholstery and a slightly reclined seat. The transparent construction and loose cushions give the chair a light appearance and a comfortable feel. The combination of metal, wood and fabric allows it to blend easily into a contemporary interior. This armchair was produced by Gelderland and is documented in Goed Wonen, no. 5, May 1964, p. 17, where it is listed as model 2520. The frame is combined with solid afromosia armrests and features a metal base with a loose, removable foam cushion on webbing. In form and construction, this model shows clear similarities to the Lotus series by Gelderland, designed by Rob Parry. The dimensions are 75 × 69 × 80 cm (H×W×D) with a seat height of approximately 37–38 cm. Material: metal, afromosia wood, foam and fabric. Colour: blue and brown. The condition of the armchair is very good with minimal trace of use. The frame and wooden parts have been restored and the upholstery, foam, webbing and floor glides have been recently renewed.
