Table lamp in stone marquetry (travertine) and brass thread inlay, created by mailtand smith in the usa in the 1970s. The lamp is made of tessellated stone, a technique where small pieces of stone are assembled in a mosaic pattern, the brass thread inlays create graphic contours accentuating its interesting, geometric and flared design. This lamp is in the hollywood revenge style of the 1970s, close to the "gatsby" style of the art deco period of the 1930s. Electricity ok, switch and european plug, intended for 220v. Standard screw-in socket (e27), can therefore receive e27 led bulbs. Very good original condition. This lamp could be a unique piece or a limited edition, published by maitland smith.
