Rare set of six "Racine" model chairs by Roche Bobois.

A standout piece of French design from the 1980s. Let yourself be seduced by this superb set of 6 "Racine" model chairs published by Roche Bobois. With their slender silhouette and chic country spirit straddling brutalist and Scandinavian styles, they bring immediate presence around a dining table. We love the contrast between the nobility of solid cherry wood—crafted with its turned spindles and tapered legs—and the authentic character of the seats made from hand-woven ecru textile straps. Why you will love them: Authenticity: A true signature of 1980s design from Roche Bobois. Unique comfort and design: The high slatted back provides perfect support and a very elegant verticality. Preserved original condition: The wooden structures are perfectly stable, robust, and sound. The weaving remains perfectly taut. Please note: Some light signs of use and small patinas of time on the seats (visible in zoom on the photos... one of the seats has two visible stains... the others are more neutral...), attesting to their history without detracting from their charm.
