70s Marcel Breuer ‘laccio’ coffee table for Knoll

Marcel breurer conceived and designed the laccio coffee table as early as 1925. The table with the characteristic u-shaped base is also known as bauhaus table and presents a modern and at the same time timeless design. Initially, the laccio sofa table was used as a stool, until it was finally used as a table. The table frame is made of tubular steel – a material with which breuer experimented for years before using it for the laccio sofa table, among other things. Breuer wanted to create “apartments of the present life” with his designs and focused mainly on making his products disassembled and hygienic. The laccio coffee table meets these requirements and has also been a high-quality design classic for many years. The table top of this laccio coffee table from the 1970s is made of marble. The frame made of round tubular steel is seamlessly formed and high-gloss chrome-plated. Table top has minimal signs of wear and is beautifully characteristic. Brandmarked and in good condition.
