Antique round ironstone dish with mistletoe decoration, Grand Dépôt by Emile Bour

Beautiful round Boch Freres Keramis ironstone platter imported from Belgium by Emile Bourgeois's Grand Dépôt, late 19th century. A charming green mistletoe frieze adorns the rim of the platter. The Grand Dépôt was a store, not a factory. It did not manufacture, but resold models that suited the tastes of its bourgeois clientele. Very good condition, luminous earthenware, no chips or cracks. A few rare chips around the edge, but these are forgiven given their age (over 130 years old, nonetheless!) Weight 0.660 kg. Ref 286/25.
