Antique Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Kitchen Plate Rack / Schelves

This rustic pine plate rack comes from Franconia, southern Germany, and dates from the late 19th century. The rack has a beautifully simple and weathered character, with remnants of the original paint still visible in places. On top are wooden pegs intended to keep mugs, jugs, and other crockery in place. An authentic and characterful utensil from rural life, where simplicity and patina come together beautifully.
