"Calysse" armchair designed by Henri Caillon for Erton, France, 1956

Soft, large, and so comfortable!... Large tufted armchair, model "Calysse", designed by Henri Caillon and produced by Erton, France, in 1956 (featured in the magazine "Art & Décoration" No. 56 from December 1956 - January 1957). This enveloping and very welcoming armchair has been re-tufted and covered in "raspberry" velvet by its previous owner in the 1980s. The padding is completely comfortable, the seat is just firm enough and at a good height for sitting down and getting up without effort, the high "ear" backrest supports the back and neck well..., it's a pleasure! The fabric is clean, without stains or snags, and shows just a discreet and normal wear on the ends of the armrests... Beech feet varnished with normal signs of use. Very good overall condition. Back height = 95 cm, seat height = 45 cm. Total width = 75 cm; total depth = 95 cm.
