Opaline glass floor lamp

Pretty little lamp in translucent white glass with a brass socket for a bayonet bulb. It probably dates from the 50s or 60s. The glass base is in good condition, no cracks or chips. The socket is patinated but functional and has the ring to hold a lampshade. I tested the lamp, it works, as does the switch, but the wiring is original and has a small piece of transparent adhesive that seems to protect two small cuts in one of the two "branches" of the cable. It seems to me that this does not pose any safety problem as it is, but in the long term a replacement would not harm. The base measures 18 cm in height, socket included, for a maximum diameter of 8 cm. The cable is 190 cm long.
