Modernist bedside table by Mucke Melder

A cube suspended from its elegant tubular frame; this bedside table is a great example of Avant -garde Modernist design. Simple yet striking and practical. There were many variations of this popular piece of furniture; it was an essential item for every modern bedroom of the time. The item is in good vintage condition, all hardware and fittings are original – the handle, screws, hinges and feet. Both the chrome tubular steel frame and the wooden parts show some minor markings due to normal wear and tear. The wooden surface has got a patina on the topsurfaced gained from it’s use over the years.
