Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Village in Colour" Vintage Landscape Oil Painting, Framed

Village in colour. Size: 56 X 63.5 cm (including frame) Oil on board. An uplifting and well-executed mid-century village landscape composition, painted in oil onto board. The painting presents a scenic and colourful village surrounded by lush greenery. On the right of the painting, a female figure is seen strolling on a narrow pathway that runs through the landscape. Painted with a modernist ethos, the artist has reconstructed the scene down to flat blocks of contrasting colours to create a sense of space and depth. The painting has a soothing quality to it, brought forth through the use of gentle brushstrokes as well as an uplifting and lightly muted colour palette. This oil on board is housed in its original mid-century gilt frame. The painting has some light marks as shown in the close ups but is otherwise in good vintage condition, and the frame has some age marks, as shown in the images.
