Amber antique demijohn 50L

Extremely rare, very old amber dame-jeanne xxxl of approximately 50/60l, from the late 19th century, made of fine glass and a very beautiful dark amber... It was discovered at the bottom of an old barn in a state of advanced disrepair in a Vosges farm dating from the mid-1800s... It was protected by hay in a large basket of ropes/twines worn by their great age. A true testament to rural heritage and the storage of distilled spirits in these regions... Lovely bubbles of all sizes on its blown glass (see photos), charming "scars" on its roundness and its "sabré" neck, as the only technique they mastered at the time to finish them, all these delightful details give it a lovely uniqueness and a real authenticity that have nothing to do with the re-editions from major decoration brands. It has been impeccably cleaned. A string of lights is offered with each of my dame-jeannes, as well as a bouquet of dried flowers from our beautiful Haute-Marne countryside, depending on stock availability.
