Turquoise barbotine oyster dish Gien France

What a wonderful dish, with its lovely relief decoration and the superb turquoise colour of its glazing! As beautiful to use on the table, it is designed for 12 oysters and two lemons, as well as to be displayed on the wall or on a piece of furniture! It is stamped Gien France underneath, and this oval marking would indicate that the dish dates from the 1960s. It is in very good condition, neither cracked nor chipped, just with some small abrasions or missing glazing on the edge of the dish. It measures 32 cm in diameter and about 4 cm in thickness. The actual colour is closer to the colour in the photos taken against a white background.
