Impressive pair of large Scandinavian wall sconces in brass, dating from the 1930s. Each sconce is built around a wide curved brass reflector with a distinctive architectural silhouette: folded side edges, shallow arched top section, and a small geometric peak. Three cylindrical sockets extend directly from the polished brass surface, allowing the backplate to reflect and amplify the light. The design is a modern interpretation of the traditional Scandinavian reflector or lampett, reduced to a geometric form characteristic of the interwar period. The construction and scale suggest production for an institutional or architectural interior, rather than for domestic use. Scandinavian origin, unidentified manufacturer. Original patina preserved with signs of use.
