Nude study signed by Maurice de Bus, 1960s, 30 x 40 cm

This work is a nude study by maurice de bus, a french artist known primarily for his work as a sculptor. The drawing, executed in charcoal, captures the human form in a reflective and introspective posture. The work, signed by the artist at the bottom left, is presented in a 30 cm X 40 cm frame, ready to hang. The drawing measures approximately 30 cm by 20 cm. Maurice de bus (1907-1963) studied at the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts and won the prestigious prix de rome in sculpture in 1937. He lived at the villa medici from 1938 to 1939 and also designed pieces of coin for the paris mint.
