The base plate is unfortunately no longer present, but completely invisible when the lamp is standing. Beautiful 100% original kaiser idell lamp from the 1930s in very good condition with the original deep black lacquer. This kaiser idell lamp was designed in the 1930s by the german silversmith christian dell and was immensely popular in the bauhaus era. What is striking and characteristic of this lamp is that the switch is incorporated in the hood and not in the base. That also makes it more rare. The lamp is a classic design icon, which has gathered a large fan base since the late sixties. Most idell lamps have been heavily restored, this lamp still has the original patina, in short a great opportunity to acquire an honest and original museum copy!
