Borgeaud workshop furniture

Twenty drawers and a patina that cannot be invented. This old filing cabinet made by Borgeaud has retained all the character of its first life: marked wood, aluminium label handles. It consists of four stacked wooden modules, each housing five drawers. Originally designed for storing index cards, it now provides a way to organise supplies, papers, collections, and small treasures. The detail we love: the drawer fronts are hinged with small hinges. They allow partial access to the contents without having to fully remove the drawer. An ingenious system, to be discovered in the photos. The whole piece rests on a metal base mounted on wheels, making it easy to move. The Borgeaud Paris plaque, present on the front, marks this professional piece with a strong character. It rests on a metal base that was added later for easier movement. Scratches, old marks, small chips, and oxidation of the base are part of its condition and patina, visible in the photos.
