Industrial steel and wood swivel chair from Tomáš Baťa, 1940s

This type of swivel chairs were designed for the factories of Tomáš Baťa - a leader in the production of footwear, who founded the Bata company in 1894. These chairs were used by production workers in his factories in Czechoslovakia, which is why they are colloquially called "Batovky". The seat height is adjustable from 39cm to 57cm.
