Medici vase in crystal by baccarat, empire style (reproduction 1821).

Cristalleries de baccarat, reproduction of the "musée des cristalleries de baccarat, 1821 – 1840": beautiful baluster vase of the "medici" type, resting on a quadrangular base brought to the hot, made of translucent solid crystal, blown and worked with a tool. Rich hand-chiseled decoration, cold, empire / restoration style, cut or fluted sides surmounted by a large frieze with diamond points; the periphery of the collar decorated with fine stylized patterns, oves and straight protruding bevels. Rich and complex carving work, magnifying the brilliance of the crystal, already pure and dense. A vase certainly classic but remaining both rare and beautiful. Manufacture of baccarat, model "laetitia". It is here, as indicated signature and stamp on the reverse of the vase, a model of the nineteenth century (between 1821 and 1840), reproduced later during the twentieth century. Signature on the reverse of the base, therefore, on the stamp (see photo n°2).||| dimensions: height of the vase, 22.50 cm; diameter at the neck, 10.80 cm; base: 08.30 cm X 08.40 cm.||| condition ratio: the vase is perfectly preserved; excellent state of conservation. No shock, no shrapnel, no accident; bright, luminous, unaltered crystal (no opacification). I simply note two small marks of use, which do not constitute wear and which remain very little visible, but which I nevertheless record: some scratches, insignificant, on the reverse of the base: without gravity, customary, and not visible when the vase is exposed (no impact, therefore) / tiny (but really tiny) alterations in the diamond points, part of the vase the most raised and the most exposed: very discreet friction in two or three places, invisible and without incidence again (photo n ° 4). However, the vase remains in perfect condition: it is very beautiful!.
