Set of BM1chairs by Borge Mogensen

Bm1 the chair by børge mogensen in solid oak with a seat of hand-plaited natural colored paper cor. 3 of the chairs are in Very good condition, only 1 of them has a flaw in the top, see picture. It is a very rare chair in its original state. No visible scratches are other defects. The chair was designed by børge mogensen in 1958 to stand together with the bm 202 shaker table. It has amazing seating comfort and is simple and extremely beautiful is is production. Seat height: 46 cm. Børge mogensen got his apprentice certificate as a cabinetmaker in 1934 in ålborg. In the years 1936-38, he attended the school of crafts at the same time as Hans j. Wegner. From 1945-47, børge mogensen was employed as an assistant to professor kaare klint at the furniture school.
