Agapecasa marble table

Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, Eros is a collection of marble tables that came about as a result of research into assemblies that require no mechanisms or hardware. For the Eros tables, the solution involves a gravity fit between the tabletop and the vertical support, achieved through the conical section of the leg, which easily accommodates the horizontal element, locking it in place, while the weight of the material increases the resistance and stability of the entire structure. This system is available in many shapes and sizes of tables, each with a specific assembly point between the elements. The elegant design of the open slots on the perimeters of the tabletops is determined by the removal of parts that are not essential to the stability and strength of the table. Mangiarotti's Eros table is a true innovation from a construction standpoint.
