Beautiful vintage studio pottery coffee or tea set, consisting of four cups with four matching saucers. Each piece is hand glazed, combining warm off-white stoneware with broad bands of cobalt and soft denim blue. The slightly irregular application of the glaze gives every cup and saucer its own character and creates a beautiful artisanal, graphic effect. The chunky cylindrical cups, rounded handles and substantial saucers have a timeless 1970s/80s studio pottery aesthetic, somewhere between Scandinavian modernism and rustic European ceramics.
