Vintage ARP Guariche Minvielle commode from the 1950s, wood.
Modernist chest of drawers with three drawers designed in the 1950s by the ARP (Atelier de Recherches Plastiques, comprising Pierre Guariche, Joseph André Motte, and Michel Mortier) for the publisher Charles Minvielle, resting on a square-section metal base. Made of wood with warm tones and characteristic grain, it stands out for its clean lines and modern round recessed handles. Its elegant and functional format will naturally find its place in a bedroom or along a living room wall. Condition: The furniture is sound, stable, and functional, with dovetail-joined drawers that slide easily and an adjustable base that adapts to all interiors. The overall presentation is very good, with only a few superficial micro-scratches from use and very discreet marks consistent with its era. These minute traces of time do not detract from the solidity or the remarkable aesthetics of this design icon.
