In the 1970s, Belgian design asserted a constructive rigour and a measured industrial elegance. The “TE23” table is a clear synthesis of this. Designed by the duo Claire Bataille and Paul Ibens for Spectrum, this model combines a veneered wooden top with a brushed steel structure. The joints are visible. The angles are highlighted by exposed fixings, a technical signature of the model. The tubular crossbar enhances stability while lightening the overall line. The top has a uniform patina, with slight signs of use consistent with its era. The steel structure is in very good condition, without deformation. The whole is solid and perfectly functional. The table measures 140 cm in length, 89 cm in width, and 70 cm in height. A balanced format, suitable for six guests or a generous workspace. A relevant piece for a modernist interior, an architectural project, or a collection attentive to European design from the 1970s.
