Pair of solid 1950s fruit wood cabinet stools

The stools are in perfect condition, beautifully made, solid and stable. They are made of solid fruit wood, and have retained their original golden blond varnish. They are a little higher than the standard seat height of a chair, which gives them that beautiful, slender look, with elegant proportions. The wood is well veined, and we see on the bases, rich drawings of knots. The seat is 3 cm thick, and the feet have a 3.5 cm section. The assemblages are very precise, which indicates a cabinetmaker's work. They date from the post-war period, reconstruction period, late 1950s.
