Brutalist high stool in solid wood in the style of Perriand/Dudouyt.

Authentic high bar or kitchen stool with a distinctly brutalist and rustic style, dating from the mid-20th century (Reconstruction period, 1950s-1960s). In the style of the works of Charlotte Perriand or Charles Dudouyt, this handcrafted piece charms with its minimalist and organic design, perfectly suited for contemporary, bohemian, or Wabi-Sabi-inspired interiors. Characteristics and condition: • Materials: Sturdy structure made of solid turned wood (dark walnut shade) and a square seat made of traditional woven straw. • Assembly: High-quality traditional cabinetmaking, done with mortise and tenon joints (without visible screws). • Condition: Superb vintage condition. The structure is perfectly stable and solid. The original straw weaving is healthy, complete, and well-tensioned, with some slight signs of wear (see photos).
