Dessert or cheese set, dish and 4 plates, Saint Clément green and gold

This is a lovely set typical of the 40s or 50s with this beautiful emerald green enamel enhanced with gold edging. There is no stamp under these pieces, just hand-gilded marks (x or y under the plates, and p under the dish) but they were undoubtedly part of a larger service where the saint clément stamp was found under other pieces. Indeed, I found services with these pieces and the same hand-gilded markings, but completed by cups, pitcher etc which bore the saint clément stamp. The dish seems to me to be a cake dish but it could be used to present small pastries or cheese. It is accompanied by 4 small plates (dessert plate format). The set has the same relief decoration: concentric circles divided into small "lozenges". The dish has two handles whose shape recalls the codes of art deco. The golden border gives all its charm to this set by highlighting the pretty green color. The set is in good general condition, no cracks or chips, border still well golden despite some very small losses but does not hide the signs of its age and use probably: scratches, abrasions and iridescent "stains" on the central parts, more or less visible depending on the angle of the light (see photos where the set is presented under different angles of light and therefore in its best and worst light). Personally, I find that it is quite presentable on a table but everyone will judge. The dish measures 31 cm in width from one handle to the other, 28 cm in diameter, a height measured at the rim of 3.5 cm and 4.5 cm at the handles. The plates measure 18 cm in diameter.
