Metal vase engraved from India, late 19th – mid 20th century.

Indian decorative vase in brass/copper alloy, late 19th – first half of the 20th century. Baluster-shaped piece, entirely hand-engraved, depicting a dancing female figure surrounded by floral and leafy motifs inspired by Indo-Persian design. Beautiful natural dark patina due to age and metal oxidation. Old handcrafted work, likely intended for the European export market. The unpolished underside, without industrial markings, shows wear consistent with the age of the object. Dimensions: height 26 cm. Overall good condition, with signs of age in line with its antiquity.
