Ancient Chinese altar table

Country: China Year: 1900 Description : Very beautiful old altar table from the beginning of the 20th century. This table is handmade and secured with handcrafted construction as seen in the use of wooden dowels and mortise and tenon joint. This method is very characteristic of the traditional craftsmanship of furniture making in ancient China. The table contains a storage compartment with two doors with brass fittings. The table has visible signs of wear, but the construction is very good and sturdy. This chart shows just the right amount of Wabi-sabi. This altar table can also very well serve as a table in the entrance hall in a modern interior. This table is 153 cm wide, 49 cm deep and 84 cm high.
