Italian ceramist, designer, and artistic director. House: he worked almost his entire life for the Bitossi Ceramiche factory, where he was the artistic director from 1946 to 1976. Style: Aldo Londi is best known for the "Rimini Blu" series, which became iconic in Italian design from the 1950s to the 1970s. Aesthetic signature: Deep blue glaze with crackled effects. Here’s to the gentleman: ) Decoration: Upper frieze engraved with geometric chevron patterns. Lower part with regular vertical grooves. Deliberately irregular texture, signatures of Londi's work. Shape: Rounded body, slightly flared neck. Estimated period: 1960s.
