The vase is in very good condition, no accidents, no cracks or chips. However, it should be noted that there are two very small defects on the edge of the collar, visible in the detail photos. One is probably a fairly old flake (it is well patinated) and measures 2mm by 5mm. The second lack appears to me to be an original enamel defect, and also measures 2mm by 5mm. The vase was turned and then enameled. It is heavy and well made. The midnight blue glaze on the background is stunning, deep and nuanced, appearing almost black. The white daffodil motifs are slightly raised, and are treated in a very pictorial manner. Magnificent colorful range in muted tones, of great elegance. High quality pottery work from the beginning of the 20th century.
