Pair of vases / photophores ''venissians '' 1940-50. Superb pair of blown glass vases or photophores in their wrought iron cage. Each piece is blown glass directly into its wrought iron frame, similar to venetian lanterns. The irregularity of blown glass, the hundreds of small bubbles that the glass contains make each piece a unique model. One of the vases / photophores has a snag at the level of the mouth / opening (visible on photo). They have been thoroughly cleaned but wrought iron to rusty over the years.
