African mask carved from wood – ethnic decoration

Ancient African mask carved from wood by hand. Beautiful craftsmanship representing a stylised face with half-closed eyes, forehead scarifications, and a carved hairstyle. The mask has a lovely patina and visible signs of manual work on the inside. The exact origin is unknown, but the style evokes masks from West Africa (Baoulé type / Ivory Coast). There is a fixture at the back for wall hanging. An ideal object for ethnic decoration, African art collection, or bohemian interior. Condition: generally good with normal signs of age.
