A pair of vintage alabaster bookends, each shaped like a stylized horse head in the manner of a chess knight. The notched mane, tilted head, and sleek geometric neck give them a strong Art Deco look. The warm cream stone features soft natural veins that shine in the light. Sold as a pair. Vintage condition with signs of age: one ear has a small chip at the tip, a fine line runs across the base of one bookend, and there are small marks and slight stains on the stone. Height: 18 cm.
