A teak and oak coffee table by Folke Ohlsen for Bodafors, Sweden, 1964. The rectangular teak top has gently curved side edges. The unique solid oak frame has an elegant cross-braced base where the stretchers intersect in an X. The contrast between the warm teak surface and the lighter oak structure gives the table a calm, balanced presence. A beautifully made piece that captures the thoughtful craftsmanship and restrained character of Swedish modern design. Marked by maker on the bottom. Wear consistent with age and use.
