A pair of vintage plates with a rust-brown thistle design – 1950s.

Elegant duo of fine earthenware plates featuring a stylised thistle design, printed in rust brown on a delicately speckled ivory background. Their precise and slightly grainy graphics evoke old botanical plates, while the textured border enhances their rustic chic appeal. These plates exhibit a beautiful even patina and a natural crackled glaze that highlights their authenticity. The back is plain, unmarked, as was often the case for small artisan series or productions from regional pottery in the 1950s–60s. In excellent vintage condition, with no cracks or chips, and a slight patina of time. Diameter 24 cm. These botanical plates pair wonderfully with cottagecore and chic nature aesthetics.
