Large chest of drawers, former trouser rack

Counter or pantry unit with a raw wood top, made of pine, 2.7 cm thick. Three small drawers and three very large drawers, dovetailed, all in solid wood, various wood species. Antique metal shell handles. Back and lower panel made of wooden planks. Early 19th-century piece, entirely pegged, in good overall condition. Numerous old woodworm marks, uneven paint with a patina from age, signs of wear. These imperfections highlight its authenticity. The top is original, sanded and protected with a matte clear varnish.
