Here is a very beautiful pitcher in turned stoneware with a rather original shape: it is wide, cylindrical and has a lid. I have no idea what it was intended for and if you know, please contact me, I would be delighted to know more. Perhaps a kettle What is certain is that with this shape it will be easy to clean. It is made of puisaye stoneware with a very pretty enamel combining soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, a material and colours typical of the 70s. A beautiful craft work by the potter jean-pierre prud'homme who signed it under the base. Jean-pierre prud'homme founded an artisanal pottery workshop with his wife in 1971 in monnaie, working with clay from the nièvre (puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (atelier au grès du vent), it is run by his son benoît prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This pitcher dates from the 70s and is in very good condition, just a minimal chip, very little visible, on the spout. The pitcher measures 10.5 cm in height, and approximately 15 cm with the lid. It measures 15.5 cm in diameter and approximately 24 cm in width from the handle to the spout. I offer several other ceramics by jean-pierre prud'homme, do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to order several so that I can adjust the shipping costs to a grouped shipment.
