Magnificent and extremely rare set of 6 Scandinavian dining chairs from around 1960. Designed by the iconic Danish designer and cabinetmaker Aksel Bender Madsen (in collaboration with his design partner Ejner Larsen), this series was produced in the Netherlands by Bovenkamp. The features of this model include the use of rosewood for the structure (a noble wood from prestigious series) with conical front legs flush with the seat and rear legs set back to support the curved backrest, all contributing to a minimalist aesthetic and pure lines combined with ergonomic comfort. The series presented here has been completely refurbished by an upholsterer specifically for sale and covered in a superb textured chenille velvet fabric in natural ecru tones, perfectly in line with the style of the era but with all the modernity of current decor. Height at the backrest is 77 cm, at the seat is 46 cm, width at the front is 50 cm, at the back is 46 cm, and depth is 48 cm. This is therefore an exceptional set due to its number of 6, its quality, and its impeccable condition. Being among the most sought-after models, if you are looking for chairs that will make a difference, do not miss this very rare opportunity.
