Empire jam maker in solid walnut

Large jam maker of the late nineteenth century, solid walnut, fully pegged. Superb tray, 1 large drawer in sanded fruit wood and varnished in colorless, brass button of empire style. Closet with brass lock entrance, matching the button, with functional key. Sanded and varnished interior. Very old furniture, restored in the past, respecting its time. The 2 rear feet have been redone and pegged (see photos), the fittings are not original but old. Some holes (plugged) of beetles mainly on the tray (see photos) but nothing abnormal in view of the age of this jam maker. Beautiful patina of time, veins and nuanced hues, everything we love about walnut. Nice condition for this charming jam maker, treated 3 times against insects. Inside drawer: 55 X 39x 10 cm.
