Rare display stand in green onyx and silver-plated metal, Italy, vintage 1935-1955.

Magnificent display stand in onyx veined with rust and beige, fine and translucent stone in the light, and silvered metal (possibly silvered bronze). Quality Italian work, circa 1935-1955, with the slender lines characteristic of post-Art Deco. Monolithic base and tray in onyx, mounted on a central stem with leaf decoration and an ornamented grip at the top. A rare piece in this quality of stone. In very good condition, intact onyx with slight discreet surface wear, clean metal, minor signs of use without impact, self-adhesive wood-like sheet under the base added after manufacture.
